Fairfax County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, arrange a release, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the office that holds the record or makes the custody decision.
Custody and Booking Contacts
Use the Adult Detention Center for a current confinement, bond, release-date, or court-date question. Use the Sheriff’s FOIA route for a focused ADC booking-record or qualifying adult booking-photo request. The Sheriff lists actual-cost charges and may require a deposit for an estimate above $200.

Where an Official Record Lives
The responsible office depends on the record and custody stage. The following contacts prevent an ADC booking request from being sent to the arresting police department, or a court-disposition question from being sent to the jail.
- For an ADC booking record or initial-intake photo, use the Sheriff contact above and the county booking-record path.
- For an FCPD arrest or incident record, contact FCPD FOIA Compliance at 703-246-4561 or FCPDFOIA@fairfaxcounty.gov, 12099 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, VA 22035.
- For central police-record services, FCPD lists 703-246-2272 and FCPDPublicCentralRecords@fairfaxcounty.gov, with in-person hours Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m., subject to posted closures.
- For a Fairfax General District Court criminal case, contact the Criminal Division at 4110 Chain Bridge Road, Suite 210, Fairfax, VA 22030, 703-246-3305.
- For a Circuit Court file, contact the Clerk at 4110 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax, VA 22030, 703-246-4111. Published general court hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Other Custody Channels
A person may no longer be in ADC custody. Virginia Jail VINE is a notification path for participating local jails, while VADOC’s locator covers state custody or supervision. The federal BOP and ICE locators cover separate federal populations. The Fairfax records reference explains what each channel can and cannot answer.
For a warrant question, the Sheriff’s Warrant Desk is the official Fairfax confirmation route. The Wanted Fugitives page provides its contact information and distinguishes a warrant check from an event-specific news item.
